Product Description
The VMP-1X follows on from VORSK’s range of impressive and affordable GBB pistol platforms and intends to fill an important Airsoft niche; the GBB Airsoft SMG. This is the X version which includes the unique VORSK quick detachable suppressor, so if you are a sneaky skirmisher this is the one for you. Those looking for something with more firepower than a GBB pistol but with a compact form which promotes agility and can be used either as a primary or a secondary to a larger platform, this beast is designed to meet your needs!
At the front of the VMP-1X, you will find the unique 5-lug QD suppressor mount surrounding the large and in-charge ported muzzle brake. This attachment mechanism allows for the VMP-1X quick detachable suppressor to be mounted or removed in a split second, depending on whether you want to sneak about or you want to cut down on overall length for operations in tight spaces. With this, the VMP-1X variant, the suppressor comes as part of the package, and attaching it is as simple as positioning it on the muzzle device, pulling back on the suppressor and rotating it slightly until it locks in place.
Underneath the menacing muzzle brake and QD mounting mechanism, there are also 14mm CCW male threads which can be accessed by removing the three grub screws around the muzzle brake's circumference and unthreading it as you would a standard flash hider. If you have your own suppressor or tracer unit already you can mount it straight away for a sneaky look and a CQB instinct-aiming advantage!
Next up we reach the high density polymer receiver which is adorned with weight-reducing grooves matching VORSK’s unique external style, making this the perfect bigger brother to VORSK’s Hi-capa which has similar cuts in its slide. The 12 o’clock position boasts a full length 20mm Picatinny rail with a relief channel in the centre to allow the built-in light enhancing iron sights to be aligned.
Due to the compact nature of these sights, you can mount whatever optical sight you require to the rail and still have the sights available for emergency use. Like the legendary MP7, there is a whole lot of rail space on this bite-sized platform so if you want to dress it up like you are hunting Bin Laden, a PEQ box, red dot sight and magnifier combination is not out of the question!
Either side of the VMP-1X features a 20mm Picatinny rail which can be positioned on either the upper or lower rail attachment points or removed entirely, allowing you to customise the VMP-1X for your needs and playstyle. In the default configuration, the rails are mounted in the lower slots, but if you prefer to take a higher grip or use the “thumb over bore” technique you can raise the rails up to give your hands a bit more space for a solid grip on the platform.
The 6 o’clock position is also equipped with a 20mm Picatinny rail and is perfectly placed to allow a vertical or angled foregrip to be mounted for greater comfort and improved weapons handling. This rail, like the 12 o’clock rail, is moulded as a part of the high density polymer body, meaning no chance of failure and maximum strength.
The controls of the VMP-1X mimic the legacy Steyr TMP and B&T MP9 in their layout, with a push-through fire selector switch located on the pistol grip which can be used by both left and right-handed shooters. The fire selector offers 2 modes; semi-auto and of course, fully automatic, aka the fun mode. The safety function is provided by the VMP-1X's two-stage trigger which functions similarly to an EU series handgun; requiring the central blade be pressed first for the SMG to fire.
Just below the fire selector, we can find the magazine release which is a push button and conventionally placed, just like a pistol. If you have had some time behind the sights of practically any modern handgun design on the market you will feel right at home with the VMP-1 in your hands. On the left side of the receiver, we can find the bolt release catch, similar in position to a pistol and well within reach of the thumb when the VMP-1X is held in a firing grip.
The pistol grip has a slight rearward cant to it, similarly to the MP9 platform, and is covered on all sides with VORSK’s unique stippling style texture found on the grips of several members of their GBB pistol line. At the base of the grip, we can see a semi-circular cutout, present on either side. This was done to allow a dirty or tight magazine to be removed easily under duress and is derived from cutouts found on high-end customised Glock pistols and other modern platforms.
The charging handle is located at the top rear of the receiver, operating similarly to the MP7, MP9 and the M4/AR15 platform. Like the aforementioned platforms, the VMP-1X charging handle does not reciprocate with each shot and instead stays firmly in place and out of the way while keeping the system well-sealed when not in use. The charging handle is very low profile, allowing the VMP-1X to be carried easily on a sling without needing to worry about snags inhibiting your movement, and can be operated from either side by hooking the index and middle finger over the handle and pulling it back. As with all GBB platforms, the VMP-1X requires cocking to chamber the first BB before firing and when the magazine runs dry the bolt will be held open by the bolt catch, which is your cue to reload!
Last up, we arrive at the side folding stock assembly of the VMP-1X which can be used either as a stock or a “stabilising brace” thanks to the claw-like shape of the butt plate. The stock can also be folded to the right side of the SMG for storage, transportation and shooting at kissing distance, and has bevelled edges with angled texture to provide a comfortable and effective cheek weld.
The angled texture on the stock matches the stylistic serrations found on the receiver, tying the whole SMG together as a finished piece. Folding the stock to the side is easy and requires no tiny buttons to be pressed, simply requiring an upward push with the thumb on the rear of the folding mech to defeat the spring tension holding it in place, after which the stock can be folded to the right where it will lock in place. The butt plate of the stock can also tilt in place similarly to a Benelli M4 Super 90 stock, allowing you to take corners without worrying about your stock snagging on your kit.
We also hear rumours from reliable sources that a plethora of stock options will be available for the VMP-1 platform down the line, so if you want an M4 stock on this you won't need to wait too long. Also rumoured to be coming are different muzzle devices, including tracer units so you can really light the enemy up!
With the VMP-1X finally with us, you no longer have to wait to get this slick little SMG in your hands! If you need a CQB primary weapon that can turn and burn as fast as you can or you are a sniper needing a compact sidearm solution with a stunning rate of fire, the VMP-1X would be an asset to your arsenal!

Special Instructions
The VMP-1 has 14mm CCW male threads beneath its 5-lug QD muzzle brake. To access the threads you will need to remove all 3 of the grub screws in the muzzle device and unthread it as you would a normal flash hider. Be sure to double check you have removed all of the grub screws as it is possible to damage the threads if the muzzle device is turned while the grub screws are still in place.
